On Thursday July 2, 2015, African Methodist Episcopal Ebenezer Church of Rahway, New Jersey purchased the parcel of land known as 261 Central Avenue in Rahway, New Jersey.  The acquisition of this property is of great historical and cultural significance to this congregation, the African American community and the African Methodist Episcopal Church because it was the location of the first Public School for “Colored Children” in the City of Rahway. Ebenezer is a Christ-centered church, committed to holistic ministry through ministering to the Spiritual, Intellectual, Emotional and Physical needs of its believers and the Greater Rahway community. Ebenezer has Seven Commissions and over 30 ministries, which support the four pillars of the New Testament Church found in Acts 2: 42-47 (Teaching, Fellowship, Worship and Prayer).

Ebenezer is a beautiful house of worship and on occasion we permit the facilities to be used by outside groups and persons. Room capacities range from intimate to a maximum of 450 people in the sanctuary. Our building is smoke-free, alcohol-free, and handicap accessible.For more information on our facilities and rental policies click here.
